Spartanburg School District 2 Homes for Sale
District 2, serving the cities of Boiling Springs, Chesnee, and Inman is a comfortable rural area just minutes from Spartanburg and close to major freeways such as Interstates 26 and 85. In spite of its proximity to larger towns, District 2 retains its small-town charm, complete with an actual boiling spring and inviting wooded areas. With a small local community living in the town, it's a community that's welcoming, friendly and intimate.
Community
In spite of its small size, District 2 abounds with amenities. Residents can enjoy a friendly game of disc golf at the Shoally Creek course, savor fresh strawberries and peaches from Belue Farms and revel in a good book at the local library. The community park is a popular gathering place, hosting a Christmas Parade, SpringFest and a variety of other neighborhood activities. Recreation on Lake Bowen is just a handful of minutes north of town, and Milliken Arboretum is just south.
Top-Rated Schools
Both Chesnee and Boiling Springs' schools are part of the Spartanburg County School District 2, named the best school district in the state by South Carolina's Department of Education. Boiling Springs Elementary, serving kids from pre-kindergarten to third grade, most recently earned gold and silver palmetto awards from the state. It has an extremely beneficial ratio of 7.6 students for every teacher. Similarly, Boiling Springs High School frequently earns accolades and was most recently rated "Excellent" by the state education department. Chesnee High School also boasts many awards and prides themselves in providing high quality education through instruction, example, and leadership. Locals also enjoy easy access to higher education, with University of South Carolina Upstate, Spartanburg Community College and Wofford College just a few minutes away.

The median list price of a home in Boiling Springs is $174,000, an increase over the previous year. This trend is expected to continue since fewer homes in the Spartanburg area are being placed on the market. Homes are selling more quickly, as well, with the average home staying on the market for less than time than previous years. This active area offers great potential for home buyer.
